Every year, Royal Mail produces a Yearpack that collates and celebrates the various Special Stamps issued over the past year. Instead of taking the usual approach of ‘The Stories Behind the Stamps’, Studio Up proposed an alternative approach of ‘The Stamps Behind the Stories’. This was visually captured by combining silhouette windows related to the subject of the Special Stamp issue with a collage of the stamps within the issue, for example: a quill pen for Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary; a poppy for the Great War; a vinyl record for Pink Floyd.
